Though a native of Oklahoma, my current home is Pretoria, South Africa. I would be a sophomore at OU majoring in international and area studies, journalism: professional writing, and religious studies. But at the University of Pretoria, which we call Tukkies, I am a “second year” studying “international relations.” No matter where I am though, at the end of it all, I want to be a teacher, a writer and a student, always. I have three ultimate dreams, and they are to write for National Geographic, to establish my own orphanage and school in western Africa or the Middle East, and to write a book (or many). Until then, I plan to enjoy my college years (they will inevitably be more than the standard four) and travel to Israel, Turkey, and South America. I’ll be a writing world traveler for the rest of my life. Let this be the first chapter…
